The story telling value of a photograph must be weighed more than the pictorial quality. Human elements shall not be present, except on the rare occasion where those human elements enhance the nature story. The presence of scientific bands on wild animals is acceptable. Photographs of artificially produced hybrid plants or animals, mounted specimens, or obviously set arrangements, are ineligible, as is any form of manipulation, manual or digital, that alters the truth of the photographic statement." Details on Speakers for April 24th Meeting

posted by admin on Fri Apr 13, 2007 [04:24 pm]
Carol Gibson writes about Tom and Lisa Cuchara:

Hi All,

Below is a summary from the speakers who will be presenting at our next meeting.

"Lisa and Tom will discuss their "digital workflow" as it applies to "the field" and "the digital darkroom". Their talk will have something for all skill levels. They will take us on a photographic journey of some of their recent photo excursions from three perspectives: the first being the practical side of going on the road with digital cameras, the second being how they operate their "digital darkroom" to peruse, sort, edit, backup and print their images, and the third being the fruit of their labor, resulting in some short slideshows of images they have captured on their photographic adventures."

They will discuss actual use of BreezeBrowser?, DownloaderPro? and Photoshop as it applies to our workflow.

They have a lot of fun putting these slideshows together and their seminar presentation depicts this.

Hope to see you on the 24th. Bring a friend or two.

Carol
